Auto Express has voted the Volkswagen Transporter as its 'Van of the Year', with the Caddy panel van also commended by the magazine.
The sixth-generation Transporter was recognised for its high levels of comfort and quality, as well as brilliant dependability and adaptability.
With different body sizes, wheelbases, payload options and load volumes, the Transporter also comes with multiple engine and transmission combinations to give you sufficient performance, as well as good economy figures to help you go further. Steve Fowler, Auto Express's editor-in-chief, praised the Transporter, saying:
"The Volkswagen Transporter sets a very high standard in terms of comfort and refinement while the cab environment delivers genuinely car-like levels of quality. The level of safety technology built into the van is excellent, while class-leading residual values contribute to a powerful value proposition. It all goes towards making the Transporter an excellent tool for businesses of all sizes."
To complement the performance, VW fits the Transporter with Driver Alert and Automatic Post Collision Braking System as standard, with the optional Adaptive Cruise Control, City Emergency Braking and High Beam Assist systems also available.
This win for the Transporter adds to the excellent haul of awards already won by the vehicle this year, including the 'International Van of the Year', Van Fleet World's 'Best New Van' and Honest Johns 'Most Popular Van' award.
