2016 range gains more style and valueThere's even more reason to buy a Volkswagen in 2016, thanks to a series of updates in some of the most desirable VW models.
The range upgrades start on the smallest car in the range. A new 'Look' specification has been added to the up! range and, as the name suggests, piles on the style. Based on the Move up! model, the Look up! is priced at £9,995 - just £70 more than the Move up!, for nearly £1,000 of extra equipment. Available with the 59hp 1-litre engine, the Look up! adds sporty 15-inch alloy wheels, unique interior trim, black decals and black mirror casings. Contrasting that are the prominent body colours - yellow, red or white.
There's also two new trims for the stylish Volkswagen CC coupe. Adding to the already popular GT and R-Line models are GT Black Edition and R-Line Black Edition specifications. These include a special styling pack that adds 18-inch alloys and a black front grille on the outside, with new carbon Nappa leather upholstery, carbon fibre-style door inserts and piano black trim on the centre console. All these extra touches are available for just £575 above the standard GT and R-Line grades.
Also new to the range is a striking special edition of the Scirocco coupe. The GTS comes equipped with a unique 2-litre TSI petrol engine, producing up to 217hp and 258lbft of torque. Paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or the 6-speed DSG transmission, the Scirocco GTS reaches 60mph in 6.5s and runs on to 152mph (153mph for the manual car).
To the outside the Scirocco GTS is particularly recognisable by the colour-coordinated GTS decal stripes over the bonnet, roof and tailgate. These are tailored to stand out on the various exterior body colours, with red, white, grey and black available.
There's specific GTS badging on the front grille and rear tailgate, gloss black mirror housings and 65% tinted glass too. On the inside you'll find Vienna leather upholstery with the GTS logo on the front sports seats and red detail stitching. The seatbelts even have red GTS stripes and there's a specific GTS gearstick with a golf ball effect gearknob.
