The forever popular Touareg has been part of the Volkswagen range for a while now, and has always had plenty to offer to all areas of the market.
Following the release of the 2016 Touareg, VW has introduced the R-Line Plus trim line which adds extra luxury and high specification features to the superb 4x4, making it an even more tantalising offering.
Using the R-Line trim as a base, the Plus package adds more premium features to both the interior and exterior of the car making the Touareg even more special.
On the outside, the 20-inch alloys are replaced with the standout 21-inch ‘Mallory’ alloys for more style and wide-angle cameras have been added to the front, rear and side of the car to provide a 360-degree view used for the Area View feature, which provides a bird’s-eye view of the car that is displayed on the infotainment screen. This feature allows you to see around corners effectively, and you can look out for pedestrians and cyclists in your blind spots.
The interior has gone under a similar makeover, with the central console now trimmed in ‘Piano Black’, whilst the 14-way adjustable seats are now adorned in luxurious ‘Vienna’ leather upholstery to add extra comfort.
These great features would add up to £3,255 individually, but thanks to the R-Line Plus package, it only costs £1,160 for the new kit, showing just how good value for money the R-Line Plus trim really is.
The new features are all on top of the R-Line’s standard kit, such as the lowered sports suspension, the panoramic sunroof, R-Line body styling and electric tailgate.
